The End! Bout of Books 7.0 Read-A-Thon Wrap-Up

And it is the end of the last day and I'm sad to see this week go. The read-a-thon was truly great and it was fun and I got more reading done then I thought I would, honestly.

First, let's just go over the stats for this final day of the read-a-thon (and just the stats for today):

I had a 'dream goal' kind of today, and when I hit it - shockingly - I decided that I could take a break, and that was pretty much the end of the read-a-thon for me. I needed a break, anyway, so it was probably for the best, I felt like I'd been reading much too long. (If I had book four of the Kingdom Keepers, though, I probably would of continued. Or volume three of Amulet).

And now, this is the stats for the whole read-a-thon, the total number of pages and books read, of audio listened to, a list of the books I read. And my thoughts/musings on the read-a-thon. Here we go:

Notes (thoughts and musings):

This is the best I have ever done during a read-a-thon, and probably the best I ever will do during a read-a-thon. I was pretty much done with school, so I just had some wrap-up things to do. (Next week I've got to send in all the paperwork). And I'd really like to keep up, maybe not this extreme, but a fast reading pace because there's a bunch of books I want to try to get through before BEA. Which I am going to. Very last minute and thinking about it too much makes me almost have a panic attack so back to read-a-thon talk.

I hope that if you participated that you had an awesome time. And read some great, if not fantastic, books. I'm really happy to have started and finished the Spiderwick Chronicles, which I've been reading to read for ever and ever. And having read Wonderstruck, which was an amazing book and made me tear up at points. And how I started the Kingdom Keepers series, which I am very excited to finish! So many amazing books I read this week and series that I hope to continue.

I was going to read one more book, to make it an even twenty, but my brain just cannot take it right now, complete mush from this awesome but insane week, sadly.

Read-A-Thon Day Six Wrap-Up (Bout of Books 7.0)

Today might have been the least reading I've gotten done all week, well, it feels like it. And I'm pretty sure it's true. Anyway, I did get some reading done today. And finished two things, a book and a novella/short story. And onto the actually stats!

Haven't really started anything, but have my "start next" books, which are Judgment in Death and book three of Kingdom Keepers.

Total: 3,091, same as before (3hrs, 30mins)

Notes:

I was out most of the day, so I sadly didn't get too much reading done, but I did get a book. I finished Disney at Dawn pretty early in the day and it was really good, I'm planning on reading at least some of book three tomorrow.

Also Mind in Revolt was very short but also very good, I'd really like to learn more. Bioshock is one of my favorite games of all time, and Infinite was amazing in it's own right, so freaking good, such a good story. Anyway, though, Books.

I don't know anything to do but read, so I'm hoping I can get a lot done. Sadly it is the last time. This week has flown by, I hope I get back to it! Also, I had set my reading goal for 50 books this year, and I'm already at 49, so I'm assuming I'll hit it and maybe go over it tomorrow.

So today wasn't the most productive day of the read-a-thon, but I had some relaxing time (and we played some video games, the opposite of relaxing, but still). I did get some reading done, but hopefully more tomorrow and Sunday.

Not really much to say. Bake Sale was cute and took me, maybe, half an hour to read, but it didn't really have a plot, things were just there. Anyway, I'm really ending book two of the Kingdom Keepers series so far, going to try and read a little more before I go to sleep, probably.

I had a lot of cleaning to do (friend sleeping over tomorrow and just spring cleaning) and I'm trying to move my books around so I can put in another bookcase, because they're just everywhere. I'm glad I finished one book, at the very least. It's been a crazy couple days with this read-a-thon. Awesome, but crazy. And hanging-out with Haley tomorrow (getting her super early) hopefully I'll get some reading done.

Whew! Okay, I feel like I've been reading for the last 72 hours straight, besides the time I've spent on school. I haven't spent anytime on Tumblr and have watch one or two videos on YouTube (I'm so out of the loop and behind). Anyway, totally worth it to be getting so much reading done!

Notes:

I was just organizing some of my books when I stumbled across Wonderstruck and - kind of ended up sitting down and reading it through. Which is feat, because that book has to weigh more then any other book I own, it's so hard to hold, even balanced on my legs. Totally worth it, though, amazing book! I really want to write up a full review of it.

Kind of a short wrap-up today since I was exhausted after yesterday (the reading AND Supernatural finale), but there isn't really anything else I can thing of to say. I hope your reading was good today, and if you are feeling a little discouraged, tomorrow is another day!

The Tempest was good, too, I finished it surprisingly quick (as I was interrupted by a certain bunny who wanted to play and be petted, but that's alright. She's cute). It was weird but I've started to expect that from Shakespeare.

Day two! I hope you all are going strong and having fun! Anyway, onto the reading stats from yesterday. I am liking posting the day after, it's easier then stressing about getting it posted before I go to sleep. I didn't get nearly as much read, in terms of number of books, as yesterday, because I feel like I woke up with a reading hangover. Anyway, onto the books!

Notes:
I had been putting off reading The Horse and His Boy because I'd heard it kind of dragged and it did a bit at the beginning, but it was still really enjoyable. I'm still not really sure how I feel about the Narnia books yet (I'm reading in chronological order, not published, so this is only my third), enjoying them overall, so far, I guess.

And I wasn't sure what to read next, but I knew I was craving kids adventure so I went on a hunt for the first Kingdom Keepers book, I knew it was somewhere. And I found it! I bought this over a year ago now, while at Disney, and I'm so glad I didn't read it then, because having just been to all the parks in February, I feel like I can enjoy this series more.

Yay. Read-a-thon starts today! I thought I'd tell you how this is going to work. I'm going to post an update on the day after. So today there is not going to any reading related updates here. If you're taking part comment so I can check out your goals/posts/such. Read-a-thons are tons of fun! So, I'm just going to repost my goals and possible books to read this week (and add books maybe). To sum up my goals, though, I just want to read as many books as I can this week, and that's kind of it. I'm going to try and not stress out about it, though, because reading is suppose to be fun.

This is my announcement post for the Bout of Books read-a-thon that's taking place from May 13th to the 19th, as I know you can probably see from the title. I've taken part in this read-a-thon before and I really enjoyed it.

I don't work so I just have to balance school (and writing) as I read. I have a huge number of books that are unread in my house, so many books. Also, my kindle, which I got recently, has many books that I have yet to read. I feel a little rusty on blogging so hopefully this will bring me back into it, and have books to review.
