#DiverseAThon | September 12th - 19th

I'm not going to talk about the reason why this readathon came about, the point is that it did. And it's awesome. I've been wanting to post about diversity and how important it is, but I just wasn't sure how to do it.

I'm also not sure if I can put it into words or explain why diversity is important to me. It's important to me personally for a mess of reasons that I'm just not comfortable going into - personal and also health related.

However, saying that, all types of diversity and representation are important to me. And if you've got an diverse books - POC, LGBTQIA+, physical disabilities, mental health, or other - then feel free to drop them in the comics, I'm always looking.

I started by having some recommendations and then a list of books I wanted to read - not a TBR because there's too many, just a general list because why not, someone might be looking for a book that one of the ones on my endless TBR fits. However, I realized how long the post was getting. I was originally going to jam them all into one post but apparently theres's a lot of books I love so I guess I'm going to have to cut them into a few posts because whew, so man damn good books.

Those posts will be up through the week and I'll link them at the bottom of this post as they go up, hopefully I remember. I'll be updating my reading progress throughout the week on twitter, instagram, and goodreads - and doing a final wrap up here. This week is always the beginning of #slowathon (one week) and tackle your TBR (#tackletbr - two weeks). Basically: heaven (I am a readathon junkie).

I have a giant stack of diverse books in my apartment I'd like to get to this week - I'll probably only get to a few (I do have 3 that are pretty damn short, 2 of which I've heard amazing things about). So onto the books I will possibly be reading this week but don't hold me to any of them (and also please leave recommendations in the comment because, really, there's no such thing as too many books)

• Citizen by Claudia Rankin (I have the audio of this, I am... not prepared. Am predicting being a sobbing mess on the ground?)
• Binti by Nnedi Okorafor (I am also not prepared but more excited, mostly because I don't predict it was leave me a sobbing mess. Hopefully not...? I can only take so much emotionally)
• Love Beyond Body, Space, and Time: An Indigenous LGBT SciFi Anthology (oh yeah. you read that right. indigenous LGBT scifi anthology. I stumbled upon this on amazon, has great reviews, know nothing else.)
• Welcome to Night Vale scripts - Volumes 1 & 2 (I wouldn't normally be counting these, even though main relationship is m/m, and Carlos - a gay character of color - is voiced by a gay person of color. I just don't know, but these guys are incredible in trying to do the thing right. Mostly, I got these and am almost done with volume 1 but not quite so, really, they have to go on the list because I'm not going to put them aside)
• Lightspeed #73 - People of Colo(u)r Destory SciFi (I've been reading this forever. Well, I put it aside, but I want to get back into it. The stories I have read are amazing, but my attention span with short story collections isn't great. Still. Want to finish so badly, all of the ones so far are 4 or 5 stars).
• Crush by Richard Silken (I've been putting this on readathon TBR after readathon TBR, I have to read it at some point. Silken is gay and I've seen his poems pretty much all over tumblr, I might as well actually sit down and read them. Maybe I will this week, maybe I won't).
• Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (a reread, but I really want to reread this one. I remember loving it but remember like... maybe 25% of it? My memory isn't great about, well, anything so that isn't surprising but still).
• Ash by Malinda Lo (gay Cinderalla. What more could you want to know? Nothing. Well, I don't, I've heard amazing things, and I've heard Malinda talk and she's fantastic. So excited)
• Brooklyn Burning by Steve Brezenoff (no idea what to expect, it's queer in some way. And I love New York in books, and real life, which will be evident in my book rec posts later this week).
• We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson (I only know the vague synopsis of this, it's faded from memory. I'm pretty sure this came in a book riot quarterly box, though, and that's really all I need to know). (LGBTQIA+)

Those are just some that I have near me, there's a ton that I pulled off my shelves to consider (and this picture will show you some more), but there are even more then that in this apartment. It's honestly impressive how many books I have in my studio apartment, probably almost 2,000. You can imagine hat it looks like (just picture books everywhere and you've got it, that's what it looks like).

Just know that it is important, diversity in literature, television, movies - pop culture in general. To kids, to teenagers, to adults, to people over sixty. It's important.

(Note: obviously I am still taking part in #slowathon and #tackleTBR, as well, just for this week I'm going to try and be very deliberate in my books. And, in the future, remember to be as well. It shouldn't be too hard with how many diverse books I own. However, I am still going to start my reread of The Way of Kings because my heart was set on that for my #slowathon goal, though it's definitely going to take damn longer then just a week, that's for sure).

January - March 2016 | Quarterly TBR

I've gone back and forth on doing TBRs, just in general, because I'm normally so bad at sticking to them. And I've kind of just stopped, well since I hadn't been reading much and such, but I'd kind of like to start again, but Quarterly ones, and not too many. I'm not going to list all the books I currently really want to read, because honestly that's just all of them.

And some of these I'm going to have already finished because this is going to be going up a bit into January, but whatever. I don't know if I'll ever get back to the reading amazingness that was 2014, but I hope to one day. However, some books I'd like to read in the first quarter of 2016.

• The Grownup by Gillian Flynn 
• Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (currently-reading, so really just need to finish it)
• The Queen by Tiffany Reisz (don't want to because then the series will be over and I'll be sad - but also do want to because want to know what the happened in that time)
• Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (I've been excited for this book for like a year and a half, over that now, and I preordered it, it came out end of September, and I haven't read it yet. So I need to. Just do it, self).
• Radiance by Catherynne M Valente (sword and laser pick this month and I want to read more of Valente's stuff since reading her essay/poem collection last year)
• Star Wars: Lost Stars by Claudia Gray (I'm a sucker for extended universe stuff so, since I've now seen all the star wars movies - extended universe here I come)
• Star Wars: Before the Awakening by Greg Rucka (hellooo... Also maybe one of the older ones that isn't canon canon anymore, because I have heard so much about it)
• Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness (I have been currently reading this for a ridiculous amount of time, I need to just finish it)
• 100 Essays I Don't Have Time to Write by Sarah Ruhl (also currently reading too long, and this one is super short)

That's all I'm going to put down, because who knows what'll happen and what way my reading will go, but those are some I'd really like to get to or finish up. There's some a lot of single issues (I am so behind that I could probably bury myself under the single issues I haven't read yet. And I don't think I'm even exaggerating). Also, of course, some trades and probably graphic novels. Some: Ms. Marvel, Volume 4: Last Days; Squirrel Girl, Volume 1: Squirrel Power; Bitch Planet, Volume 1; Suicide Squad, Volume 1; Wytches, Volume 1. And probably others, there's some single issues I added to my pull list and haven't started the series yet and, so, I want to start them to see if I should keep going or drop them (maybe get in trade or just drop).

Do you do a monthly/quarterly/whatever TBR? How does it work for you? I'm really kind of curious, because I have no idea how this is going to end up working for me.

January - March TBR | TBR Double Dog Dare

Oh yeah, that's right, it's not a challenge it's a dare. And not just any dare a double dog dare. Well, I can't turn down a challenge. Also it's related to something I've been thinking about going over compiling all my end of 2014 data. I did not read a lot of things I already owned, like serious did not (I read an okay amount, but not what I would of liked. Listen - I own a shit ton of books that are unread, I need to start working through them and stop buying so many more).

To explain what the hell I'm talking about with this TBR Double Dog Dare thing. It's an idea challenge from James Reads Books about taking January through March to read as many books that you physically owned (before 2015) as you can. (I'm assuming the before 2015 thing, even before that would be better).

He says you can make exceptions and I'm probably only going to make exceptions for new releases (a Sanderson book comes out first week of January, listen). Besides that, though, I've got stacks of books I want to read super soon and Bout of Books 12 is the secondish week of January.

I'm going to list some stuff/ideas at the bottom, but I'm obviously probably not going to stick to it (I'm just not, TBRs and me don't always mesh), but it's what I want to read soon or in arms reach. Series I want to marathon for a read-a-thon or just because I now own it and can (*cough* Ouran *cough*)

That's pretty much it, I think. Read as many physical books are you can, I'm going with they had to be bought before January 1st. (His post for this specifically). And onto tentative and wishful plans, as all TBRs tend to be with me.

• Ouran High School Host Club manga (christmas present to myself, all 18 volumes, let's do this shit).
• The Sleeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaiman (let's do this shirt
• The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami
• Freak by Kristin Elizabeth Clark
• Elantris and The Allow of Law by Sanderson

I also have a ton of backlog comics (trades and single issues) and also manga (Death Note up to volume... 8? And then a handful of others). I don't want to guess too much, even though this is going to be for the next three months. I'd like to read more from Maggie Stiefvater (Blue Lily, Lily Blue but also her faerie books), I've also got a few duologies and series I'd like to marathon to knock them out early in the year.

I don't want to jinx myself, which sounds silly but I'd just be naming whatever my eye catches on anyway (which is also silly). Those all seem highly probably, though, especially for the next three months.

It's a new year! I hope yours started off well (and, if not, at least not too badly?). My 2015 reading resolutions post should be up soon along with my 2014 favorites, I've been working on a bunch of posts for this beginning of the year time and I hope you check them out.

Horror/Scary/Thriller Books I Haven't Read Yet

I got into the horror genre very young, probably too young, but I was interested and it was amazing. I read a lot of genres, though, and I kind of read/love most genres, which sounds ridiculous but I can't think of any genres I don't like or haven't, at the very least, tried. And, while making the two book recommendation posts I just did (Scary Books for Beginners & Horror/Scary Books for Halloween) I realized that I hadn't read as much as I thought I had.

I'm trying to read more horror/thriller (or just plain creepy/weird) books, because at some point I'd forgotten how much I ten to actually enjoy these books. I don't know why, I know a lot of people don't, but I just adore them.

Some of these, I'm not expecting to be incredible, but I still will be fun (also, I'm writing this towards the beginning of the month, ideally I will rad some of these during the month).

Authors:

H.P. Lovecraft
A person, not a specific book, but most of his fiction is short. I'd most like to read all of the stuff in his Cthulu Mythos, but I'd like to read at least some of his work, if not all of it.

Stephen King
There are a lot of his books I haven't read, unsurprising considering how many there are, but some very big ones I haven't: The Shining, The Green Mile, The Stand. I'd really like to read those, but also: Insomnia, Misery, 11/22/63, rest of The Dark Tower series, Under The Dome, The Dead Zone, Cell, Thinner, and more. And also I'd like to reread some, maybe because I don't remember them very clearly or just because I love them: Carrie, Pet Semetery (don't remember either very clearly), IT (I kind of reread this almost once a year, love it), Duma Key (kind of same as IT), Bag of Bones, Dreamcatcher (it's been a few years for both of these, but I want to reread soon).

Dean Koontz
I haven't read a single book, which feel weird, because he's a very large name in horror. But I've also never known where to start - but I think I might start with Intensity or Phamtoms, I don't have it yet, but it'll think that'll be there. Opinions?

Books:

• Horns by Joe Hill - I haven't read anything by Joe Hill yets, and considering the movie coming out (or is out, with Daniel Radcliff). So I guess this is a good place to start.
• The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancy - I really want to read this first book, and probably the rest of the series. It looks fantastic, and I've heard good things.
• The Marbury Lens by Andrew Smith - I haven't read anything by this author yet (by any of these guys yet, actually), and I've heard mixed reviews about this one but I think I'm really going to like it. 
• We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson - I remember, vaguely, reading The Lottery in middle school, but not enough to remember what happened. And this looks amazing, a lot of her stuff looks strange, weird. Also - The Haunting of Hill House.
• The Phantom of the Opera
• Dracula
• American Psycho (classic, both this and the above two - I'm excited for all, I just haven't done it. I did try to read Dracula in 7th grade but the journal/letter whatever through me off).
• Carmilla (lesbian vampires, that's what brought this onto my radar. Don't you want to read it now? it's a classic novella - with lesbian vampires. RonLit did a video about it, she convinced me).
• The Yellow Wallpaper 
• Abbadon's Gate (and other in the Leviathan series, I hadn't thought about how these were horror until I started researching for my recommendation posts
• Horrorstor (this just came out, and it's been some hype, but it looks awesome)
• Sleepless (I haven't heard much about this, but it's really short and has a great cover)
• The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes (I actually started this and I'm loving it way more then I thought I would)
• Unwind Series (I'm stunned I haven't read this series yet, because it sounds right down my alley. And also the covers are all awesome).
• The Forest of Hands and Teeth series (this series has been complete and out for a while now, and I still haven't even started it).
• Razorland series (I have the first book and I've had it for years, but I've always wavered about reading it, but I have liked everything else I've read by Ann Aguirre).
• Jasper Dent series (This book series sounds awesome, from what I've heard, people seem to love it. And the books are awesome, mostly under the jacket...)
• The Madman's Daughter series (This sounds... interesting, and I've heard middle things)
• Feed series (Adult zombie stuff, it sounds fun)

October 2014 TBR + Some Questions For You

October - the month of Halloween. Where the weather starts to get chillier (in most northern hemisphere climates) and the leaves start to change color. Bad horror movies on TV, pumpkin favored everything, the month before NaNoWriMo (meaning all the NaNo prep possible), and a 24 hours read-a-thon and a 24 hour stream(s) for charity (Extra Life!). Wow, October is very, very busy when you put it like that.

Also The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan is coming out at the end of the first week of October and there's some other good books that I"m excited for, but mostly that one. I'm planning on rereading the Heroes of Olympus series in time for that one to come out. I'm also planning on posting some horror book recommendations to see how book recommendations go, and if anyone likes them.

I'm not really sure of my TBR, a shocking surprise I know, and I don't tend to stick with them. Though - I do know I'm going to try and read as much as I can, whatever it is, because NaNoWriMo in November tends to eat my reading time (though, this year I think I'm going to make time, since I've been writing quite a bit the whole year).

I do want to read some scary books of my own this month and maybe get some full reviews up. I have a few ideas as to what I might read, but I kind of don't want to share them. I might stop listing random books I could read and, instead, just start talking about what'll be happening in the coming month. So maybe "October TBR" is the wrong title for this post.... Though - Heroes of Olympus series reread, and I want to finish Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, too.

August 2014 TBR

I keep doing these, and I'm not sure why, because I never tend to stick to them - but I do really like havng an idea of what to read. Even though we're a week into the month, I haven't finished anything yet, but I have a lot of books I want to read. And there's the Bout of Books 11 read-a-thon happening this week from the 18th to the 24th.

There aren't any books, really, that I know for sure I'm going to read - but I have ideas of how my reading will go. None of these are positive, I'm really just looking around and seeing what catches my eye right now.

• The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black (I got an ARC of this at LeakyCon and started it on the plane back, haven't finished it yet, but I knew nothing going in and oh my god).
• Say Her Name by James Dawson (I don't know if this is out in the US - but some of the UK book people I follow were praising it and it was pretty cheap on TheBookDepository - and I might have a slight obsession with the Bloody Mary thing)
• Geek Girl by Holly Smale (this sounds adorable and fun)
• If I Stay by Gayle Foreman (I was kind of sold on reading this after watching Gayle speak on a few panels at LeakyCon, during LitDay)
• Dissonance by Erica O'Rourke (I won this on Goodreads and I've been hearing amazing things)

I'd also like to reread The Way of Kings and read Words of Radiance - but we'll see when that happens. I'd also like to finish some of the books I'm currently-reading, which will hopefully happen this month.

Any suggestions of what I should read this month? New releases or old favorites - I love getting book recommendations.

#BookTubeAThon | TBR and more

I cannot say no to a read-a-thon, apparently, which is just a tad ridiculous, in all honesty. Mostly because I am also participating in the treesofreverie read-a-thon (which is hosted on Tumblr, but it's everywhere). And if you've been following me at all, on anywhere, you know I don't stick to TBRs, normally a book or two, but never more then that, and I feel like read-a-thons are even worse for this.

I don't have really many goals or plans for this read-a-thon inside a read-a-thon (read-a-thonception) but I'd like to finish a book everyday. I'm going to list the challenges below and my plans on how to finish those, because I do loves the prompts/challenges for reading.

A book with pictures
I have kind of two options, though I do have quite a few still unread graphic novels, but I think it'll either be In the Shadows by Kiersten White and Jim Di Bartolo or Hyberbole and a Half by Allie Brosh.

Start and finish a series
I have a surprising amount of series that I just - have and haven't started or finished yet, but an even higher number of series that I've read the first or second book in. I have a few choices for this one, and I have made no decsion at all yet.
Shadow and Bones trilogy
The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy
Under the Never Sky Trilogy
Eon/Eona duology

Book With Red on the Cover
Well some of the books I've listed as possibly reading have read on the cover, so we're assuming I'll finish this somehow.

A book someone else picks out for you
I also have options for this, because variety is the point of this TBR. I asked my mom and my best friend. My mom picked Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi (weirdly good taste in books there, mom) and Haley picked The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider (don't throw anything, I know I know, but I always end up putting off books by people I know).

A book from a genre you haven't read much of this year
There are two genres I'm going to mention that I haven't read much of this year: horror and crime/mystery. If I got horror, I'll most likely read or reread something of Stephen King's and if I go crime/mystery probably the next In Death book.

A book to movie adaptation
I started a reread of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and never ended up finishing it and I kind of would (just the first book, of course, well for this week). And I do ridiculously enjoy that movie, as well, so that's kind of my only plan at the moment.

Read seven books
I'll definitely be getting there, I think, it is a goal of mine to read a book a day.

So that is my kind of plan for the BookTubeAThon, I've been holding off on reread The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson even though I'm also kind of dying to read it. I'm hoping to post daily updates, I don't know honestly how much I'll be getting read. Here's how the updates will go, the update for day one of the BookTubeAThon will go up on the second day and so on - this is how I do Bout of Books so if you've been on my blog before this shouldn't be weird. They're going to be a day delayed, probably posted early in the morning of the next day.

July 2014 TBR

I haven't read anything since I finished Amy and Roger's Epic Detour on the 21st of June so hopefully I'll be getting back into reading again soon. But after that reading month, I wouldn't be too upset - or too surprised really - to not get as much reading done this month (hell, I kind of expect to never read that many books again).

I'm, of course, currently reading way too many books, as always. And LeakyCon (a Harry Potter convention) is at the end of the month so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to read. I want to finish The Name of the Wind, which I'm about halfway through, and some of those other currently-reading books (Queen of the Tearling, Mistborn, and many more).

Also I might reread The Way of Kings before moving onto Words of Radiance. There are others I'm thinking of, such as:

• Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
• My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
• Hounded by Kevin Hearne

It all depends, really, I don't want to push myself to read if I"m really not feeling like it because I know it'll just make the slump worse. So, hopefully, that doesn't happen. I'm also way behind in reviews, I have a bunch I want to review from last month and a series review of Fruits Basket, which I'm still not sure how to do.

March 2014 TBR

I normally end up not sticking completely to these, though I did last month if you don't count the random books I listed at the end.

I finished both Vampire Academy by Richelle Meade and A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Quin. Which were two of the books that were on my main, knew/had to read list. I didn't end up finishing House of Leaves, but I'm really enjoying taking it so slow that I'm not upset about it. It's so good and it might take me a while to finish, but I'm adoring it so far. (There's also an article I ran across, called: How Not To Read House of Leaves. Which I thought was a really cool and interesting little thing, if you're thinking of giving the book a shot, but it scared you). Now - onto the actual TBR for the month of March.

There's books I'm currently reading, like House of Leaves. I'm hoping to finish them in March, probably not HoL just because whew. So I actually have a pretty good idea of what I could be reading this month.

A Way of Kings: Part One by Brandon Sanderson
The reason I'm reading the parts version of this book, well, there's various reason. One: have you tried to hold that whole thing? Jesus, I don't recommend it. Two: Less daunting/scary. Three: Pretty. Covers. All the UK covers are gorgeous for Sanderson's books while all the US ones are the normal weird as hell high fantasy covers. Anyway - I'm currently-reading this one and am about 25% into it and completely loving it so far, it's so interesting, but also one I'm taking slow.

Frostbite (Vampire Academy #2) by Richelle Meade
Just - cause, I want to continue this series. It's - light but interesting, I fly through this books. I might end up picking up the rest through the month, breaks and filler between the ridiculous amount of books that I'm taking slowly.

Princesses Behaving Badly by Linda Rodriguez McRobbie
I'm loving this book so far, currently-reading, and am about 35% through, and hoping to finish it this month. Not as fast moving as others, but it's also definitely not dry as far as history goes (and I'm a sucker for history, anyway).

Paradox by Jim Al-Khalili
This is a non-fiction book about paradoxes in physics by a quantum physicist. I'm not very far into this, almost 40 pages, but am currently really loving it. It's very interesting and extremely easy to understand, and I really like the guys matter of fact voice.

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
This is for the BookTuber Reading Buddies book club. I haven't started it yet, but I've been meaning to read it for years at this point, and I know that I'm going to completely adore it. They're also reading the first Mistborn series, but I am already reading a Sanderson book. I have Mistborn and I want to read it so badly (definitely check out that link and the group, though! Cool people there).

And besides that, I'm not really sure yet. Like I said, I might pick up more of the Vampire Academy series besides the slow cookers. Otherwise, I'm surrounded by good books I've been dying to read, so I'l probably just pick up whatever strikes my mood, which is why I read so many books at one time.

February 2014 TBR

Alright, let's be real here, friends, February is going to look bad compared to January no matter what I read. I apparently really like Goodreads book clubs (probably because I don't have to try and talk to people face to face, I'm actually not kidding), and I'm probably not going to do stuff for all of the clubs this months, but I do have a vague idea of what I want to read this month.

Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
I started reading this on already, not very far in at all, and it's mostly because of the movie and because every person on YouTube has read it.

This is for a goodreads book club, Sword and Laser, and I'm not sure how I'll feel about it yet from what people are saying, but it sounds interesting. And I've never read anything by this author.

House of Leaves by Mark. K Danielewski
Book club read, Booktube Reading Buddies, and it's so big and scary that I felt like reading it with some people might be less daunting. It's also apparently genuinely weird and creepy so I'm really curious to really get into it. (Have you read it? What did you think? Any tips?) They're also reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and I've been dying to read this book since a random guy in Powells in Portland told me I had to (random stranger book recs are a little weird but very awesome).

I also may have gone on a mini buying binge, like a beginning of the year thing, so I have a bunch of comics / graphic novels to read and other things. So here is a list of random books I might read, I am, as usual, surrounded by books so who knows what I'll be in the mood for:

January TBR

I don't normally do a TBR list just because I don't normally know what I'm doing, but I am oddly ambitious for how many books I can read this month. Probably because of the new year and there is the Bout of Books read-a-thon this month. Anyway, onto the books!

Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama (I have volumes 1-3 in my possession, and as I'm writing this have already read the first two, and it is so good and some more are on their way to me in the mail but with the snow storm are delayed. Sad, but still, they'll be here soon).

Infinity Blade by Brandon Sanderson (As of writing this I've read the first one and I have the second one and I'm not going to play the game, but I do really like the story).

Seduction in Death (In Death #13) by J.D. Robb (Ah, another In Death book, I'm assuming I'll pick it up at some point this month, love these books).

I've got a whole stack of books next to me, but I have no idea what I'm going to be reading, so I'm just going to throw out some titles. I have both of Cinda Williams Chima's series and will probably start one, maybe both. I've got House of Leaves which I've started but will probably take me months to read, not even because it's huge, though it is, but because it's not a book to fly through. Read a little, mull it over, read a little more, and it's deliciously creepy so far.

I also have a lot of books I want to reread this month and I thought it might be a good idea to tackle those for the read-a-thon, but I guess we shall see. Happy New Year, everyone!

August TBR

So I did this last month, a little late, and this month I'm doing it again and I'm going to split it into 3 parts, because I want it to be all organized and stuff.

July TBR

Now, I don't normally do TBR posts, but I do make lists and try to stick to them. Sometimes I really well and sometimes I fail miserably. However, I'd like to get into the swing of posting them up so that you may tease me when I fail, because that's just how that works. Now, normally this would be posted right after the wrap-up, but I just thought of doing this 'officially' so here it is now. Obviously, I've already read a lot of these books, and I'll label them if I have.

I've already read so many books this month catching up on my 100 book challenge after being away for BEA and then VidCon. And I want to read many more. I've been reading Kushiel's Dart for what feels like a very long time, but it is 900 pages so I guess that shouldn't be surprising. There are a lot of books listed up there, but I might end up adding/subtracting some. It all depends on my mood, normally.

The romance books you see above are not my normal cup of tea, but they're for an online book club I'm part of (check out my post about online book clubs if you're curious.) And so far, I'm liking them. I haven't started the Sarah MacLean, but Eloisa James' writing was surprisingly very good. (Also, did you know romance is the number 1 best selling fiction genre? So why are people so embarrassed that they read it? Maybe because of how awful the covers are, because some are just truly awful. I'm sorry, but they are). 

TBR Reading Challenge

I just signed up for this because I think it's a really good idea. I mean, it's good to read new books and everything, (for example, I'm also signed up for the Debut Author Challenge), but this one gets some books I've been meaning to read for a long time, read. I'm going to aim for the 11-20 level, and if I pass 20, which seems crazy at the moment, then I'll just try to complete the next level. Also, right below here, along with the books I've read, is going to be a list of books I want to read that would fulfill that challenge requirement.
